Request account & data deletion

This page tells the owner of a Wearloop POS firm how to request deletion of their account and the firm's data, what gets removed, what we keep for legal reasons, and how long we keep it.
Who can request deletion
Only the shop owner of a firm can request deletion. The request anonymises every cashier and firm-admin account inside that firm as well, because those accounts were created on the owner's behalf and exist only inside the firm. Cashiers can leave a firm without deleting it by asking their owner to remove them via Settings → Manage team in the app.
How to request — inside the app
- Open Wearloop POS on your Android device.
- Tap Settings (the gear icon, bottom nav).
- Scroll to Account.
- Tap Delete account & firm data.
- Read what will be deleted vs kept, type your firm name to confirm, and tap Request deletion.
You will be signed out immediately. We process every request within 7 days.
How to request — by email
If you can no longer sign in (lost device, blocked account, Google account closed), email support@bushveldtech.com from the email address you used to sign in to Wearloop, with the subject "Wearloop account deletion request" and the name of your firm in the body. We reply within 7 days.

What is deleted Removed
- Your name, email and profile photo — replaced with a random
placeholder in the form
deletedNNNNNNNNN@bushveldtech.com. - Your firm's name, address, phone, email, tax ID, logo and receipt header/footer text.
- The same anonymisation is applied to every cashier and firm-admin account inside the firm.
- Product images, the firm logo and any other files uploaded to Wearloop storage.
- Your ability to sign back in to Wearloop with the affected Google account — the auth record is disabled.
What is kept Anonymised
- Sales, refunds, stock transfers and stock-movement records, with cashier names replaced by the deletion placeholder.
- Daily revenue summaries used for platform-level metrics (no personal data).
- The deletion request itself — kept for our compliance records so we can prove we acted on your request.
We keep these records because tax authorities in the markets we operate in (Zimbabwe, South Africa, Zambia and others) require point-of-sale operators to retain transaction records for auditing purposes. The records carry no personal data after anonymisation — they are operational and financial only.
Retention period
Anonymised operational records are kept for 7 years from the date of deletion, then permanently destroyed. The deletion-request log is kept for the same period.
Cancelling a request
If you change your mind before we process the request, email support@bushveldtech.com with the subject "Cancel Wearloop deletion request" from the email address you used to sign in. We cancel pending requests within one working day.
